A steel spiral staircase that was multiple stories and difficult to work around. Combine that with the highest quality of service and craftsmanship, and the final product was a masterpiece. My experience with ZMartin Plastering at 188 W. Randolph was great. The damage to the ornamental plaster in the historic Ballroom was extensive and widespread. Brian and his crew were able to replicate the intricate moldings, grilles and overall aesthetic of the room to restore to a level that met and exceeded our expectations. They were able to meet our project schedule while coordinating with other trades on site and accommodating additional scope added during the project. ZMartin Plastering will definitely be on my short list of qualified contractors to call when the next job’s plastering challenge arrives.

The columns and ornaments at the South end of the office were missing. Brian came in and fabricated new plaster pieces of the original beams and ornaments. After making rubber molds of the missing ornaments, he then applied cast pieces to the new framing and lathe installed by his crew. The new plaster pieces match perfectly tying in the new ornament to the old existing plaster.
Brian is very responsive and the ZMartin Plastering crew responded immediately when our project required additional work outside of the original project scope.
